Description
The building was originally constructed in 1970/80s and the basic construction is steel frame, clad with brickwork.
Project

The project consisted in stripping out the existing internal units and flooring complete, to construct new units to new layout of solid block work. To install internal roofs to each unit for storage and to supply and install shop frontages. To install security roller shutters to each unit, to supply and install all necessary electrics (IEE), to include 3 phase. To prepare complete flooring throughout and to supply and install Karndean flooring. To construct external electrical metre cupboard and construct and install conservatory, all spray finished with architectural solignum, fixed to pre-constructed raft. To construct new entrance porch, predominantly out of oak, fixed on York stone basis. To extend the existing cafe to link with the market hall, constructed from block work and fare faced brickwork to match existing, set on a reinforced concrete raft. To strip out the coffee shop complete and to construct toilet areas, male and female and a kitchen area and to fitout. To construct an entrance linkway between the coffee shop and the market hall and second main entrance to the market hall.

The main entrance is predominantly formed out of oak cladding steel frame work set on York stone basis. To supply and install hexagonal glazed features to teh coffee shop so as to provide complete glazed walls on three sides. To install floor tiles within the kitchen area and coffee shop area and to re-wire to IEE regulations to include 3 phase supply and to supply and install necessary other services to include gas for kitchen. To plaster finish and decorate throughout to the appropriate finishes.
